From idea-in-head to book-in-hand, our aim at Inspira Literary Solutions is to be a publishing resource and support to anyone with a manuscript, message, or mission they want to get into print.

Inspira was founded in 2014 by Arlyn Lawrence, although its roots go further back than that. In 2010, after having worked in the publishing industry for several years as a writer, magazine editor, and book author, Arlyn began working as a freelance book editor. Demand grew quickly as word got out about the developmental editor who worked with authors “from idea in head to book in hand.” In 2014, Arlyn formed Inspira, LLC and moved into the company headquarters in beautiful Gig Harbor, Washington, a quaint waterfront community nestled on the Puget Sound just south of Seattle. Soon the Inspira team grew to include more gifted editors, writers, and designers to meet the growing need, and Inspira Literary Solutions was officially born.

In the six short years since then, Inspira has gained a reputation for helping exceptional authors write and refine their manuscripts for publication (both self- and traditional publishing), and providing access to a talented network of book designers. We are at over 61 books and counting, and are proud to deliver more and more beautiful, impactful books into the world every year.

Our name, “Inspira,” from the root “inspire,” is reflective of our recognition that every good idea and book stems from the unique gifting and voice of its author, and ultimately, from the One who is the creator of all ideas and all that is good.
